Intricate textured blanket, square crochet blanket

This highly textured blanket is one of a kind. I was a tester for the textile artist KAME crochet who came up with the wonderful Nestariel blanket crochet pattern. The stitches used make the intricate blanket absolutely gorgeous. The square blanket measures 51" wide, making it a good size for a couch throw or crib blanket. The masculine blues and browns would make a great baby boy blanket. The fact that the intricate stitching is feminine makes the contrasting blanket a joy to look at.

I'm a very experienced fiber artist and have been making crochet blankets for many years. This particular afghan was so much fun to make. I'm excited to have collaborated with such an amazing designer, and for the opportunity to share our art with you.

The throw is made with 100% acrylic yarn. It's warm and incredibly soft. I used a finer weight of yarn, making it look more delicate while allowing tons of stretch. It's even machine washable and dryable. This mandala blanket is perfect for a cozy cuddle while watching TV by a fire.
